President Bush to Speak to Ashbrook Center and Federalist Society in Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society and The John M. Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs at Ashland University are co-sponsoring a conference that will feature President George W. Bush as the honored guest. The conference, titled “The Presidency and the Courts,” will be held Oct. 6 at The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.

Ashland University Theatre opens its 2008-2009 season, “Image by Design: Women in Society,” with Arthur Miller’s classic drama “The Crucible.” Performances are Oct. 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Hugo Young Theatre.

Ashland University crowned its Homecoming royalty during ceremonies held Wednesday evening in Redwood Hall. The event, usually held on Jones Terrace in front of Founders Hall, was moved indoors due to inclement weather earlier in the day.

Samuel Echelberry, a senior majoring in hospitality management at Ashland University, has been awarded a $3,000 scholarship from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Foundation.
