| The Tom C Akkerman Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Business and/or Economics. Selected on the basis of merit, promise, and financial need. Preference given to sons and daughters of AU alumni. Renewable. |
The K Jack Bargahiser Endowed Scholarship |
Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student(s). Must be a graduate of a Richland County high school, pursuing a degree in Business or Education, and a varsity athlete participating in football, basketball, volleyball, track, baseball and/or softball. |
| The Fred and Anne Broad Family Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student(s) with a major in Business, maintaining a GPA of 2.75 or better, demonstrating community interest and having financial need. |
| The Frank R and Karen Beer Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to an undergraduate Business major with financial need, evidence of leadership ability and a strong desire to succeed in the business field. Minimum 3.00 GPA. Renewable. |
| The Robert A Burd II Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in business and who is a graduate of a high school in Montgomery County, Ohio, with a GPA of 2.75 or higher and has financial need. |
| The Business Advisory Council Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate junior or senior student majoring in Business or Economics with a minimum 3.5 GPA. The student should demonstrate outstanding leadership in the College of Business, on the AU campus and in the community. The student will have the willingness and availability to work with the College and the Business Advisory Council on assigned projects. Awarded over and above financial need. |
The Paul A and Velma Wimmer Carl Endowed Scholarship |
This award, consisting of available income from the fund, will be made annually to two students as follows: 50% to a woman full-time student entering her junior year and majoring in Elementary Education, and 50% to a full-time student majoring in Business. The award is made on the basis of need, academic promise and attitude, with preference given to residents of Ashland County. |
| The Harold Cheadle Endowed Scholarship | The award is made to a junior who has been admitted to the national economics honorary society, Omicron Delta Epsilon. Selection of the student will be made by the Economics Department. |
| The Lynn J Culver Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a student(s) majoring in Economics, Finance or Business Administration within the College of Business and Economics. Preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office in cooperation with the Dean and/or faculty of COBE. Applied to any and all educational expenses and is renewable. |
| The Dawson Companies for Minority Students Endowed Scholarship | Annual scholarships are awarded to incoming full-time undergraduate minority students in their freshman year of college with a 3.0 or better GPA majoring in a business discipline: Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Hospitality Management, Management Information Systems or Marketing. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of promise and financial need. |
| The O.V. DeGiralomo Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time student of junior rank with at least a 2.5 GPA. Preference is to be given to a student graduating from the New London, Ohio school district, majoring in Business Administration and showing financial need. Should no qualified student be available from the New London school district, the award may be made to a qualified junior from Stark or Summit County, Ohio. |
| The Ed and Karen Depenbrok Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to an incoming freshman student(s) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 majoring in either Business or Education. Financial need will also be considered. |
| The John R '54 and Nancy Bowers '53 Dickson Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student, majoring in Business, who demonstrates academic achievement, an inquiring attitude and financial need. |
| The Charles K '51 and Sarah E Dilgard Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student showing academic achievement and good school and community citizenship. Preference is given to students who major in Accounting and are planning careers in accounting or management in the not-for-profit sector. |
| The Kirk Fegley Accounting Endowed Scholarship | The scholarship is to be awarded to an upper class student and is to be based upon academic promise and a GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need is a preference. This scholarship may be renewed. |
| The Laurence W Ford Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full or part-time graduate or undergraduate junior student majoring in Economics or Accounting with a maintained average GPA or 3.25 or better. Recipient should demonstrate promise and leadership, as well as financial need. Renewable. |
| The A Douglas Freehafer Memorial Endowed Scholarship | This award is given to a sophomore or junior student who shows professional promise, carries at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and is a Business major. The award is to be applied toward educational expenses during the junior and senior years. May be renewable. |
| The Robert H Garn Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Given to a full-time undergraduate majoring in Business Administration or Economics. The recipient must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and good character and citizenship. Preference will be given to a student who exhibits financial need and comes from a single-income family. |
| The Brooks G. Hull Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time student from Cleveland, OH area. Preference to Business and Economics majors with a minor in Arts and Humanities (without regard to need or scholarship). |
| The Robert D and Marjorie C Ingmand Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student. Selection is based on merit, promise and financial need; but need will not be the determining factor. May be renewed. Scholarship funds are divided and awarded equally by the College of Business and Economics, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Education. |
| The Insurance Women of North Central Ohio Endowed Scholarship | Available to eligible students who are residents of Ohio. Preference will be given to residents of Ashland, Richland, Wayne, Crawford, Knox and Morrow counties. Recipient(s) must have a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA at the conclusion of his or her junior year. Selection is made on the basis of professional potential and financial need. |
| The Mr and Mrs Bernard Kaufman Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, who demonstrates leadership, promise, involvement in campus activities, high moral character, a 2.5 GPA and financial need; however, the latter need not be a deciding factor. |
| The Donn Kieft Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a senior Business major with a minor in Economics (need not a factor). Not based on financial need. |
| The Robert and Dorothy King Sr. Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who is a member of the University baseball team and is majoring in Business Administration. |
| The Donald A Klise Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Finance or Accounting and in good social and academic standing (minimum 3.0 cum GPA). Financial need may be considered but will not be the determining factor. |
| Judith M. Lane Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time female student with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Non-renewable. |
| The Kathleen and Peter Linneman Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a sophomore because of outstanding scholarship with financial need being a consideration. The area of study for the student should be Economics, Business, or Education. |
| The David Paul Loyd Endowed Scholarship | Given annually to a junior or senior Marketing major who is making satisfactory progress toward his/her degree. The scholarship shall be based on financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid in cooperation with the Dean and/or faculty of the Dauch College of Business and Economics. Renewable for one year and may be applied to any educational expense. |
| The George D Marble Endowed Scholarship in Economics | Made available to an upper-class, full-time student with a major in Economics or Business Administration. |
| Bruce and Denise May Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full time undergraduate student who is a Business Administration major maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better, has financial need and is a member of the Ashland University TKE fraternity. In the event no member of that fraternity qualifies, then the award will be made to another student who meets the above qualifications. |
| The Harold A Mielke Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time junior or senior Business Administration major demonstrating outstanding academic promise. |
| The Burton D Morgan Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to full-time undergraduate students displaying academic achievement and leadership promise in business. |
| The Alex J and Vivian V Nagy Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a graduate of Ashland City Schools who is a full-time undergraduate at Ashland University. Preference will be given to a student(s) majoring in Business or Education. Financial need and academic achievement will also be considered. |
The National City Bank Endowed Scholarship |
Annually awarded to freshmen who have graduated from Ashland, Hillsdale, Loudonville, Mapleton or Shelby high schools. Recipients must have a high school grade point average of at least 3.0 and a college major in Business or Economics. |
| The Jerry I and Norma J (Bell) Oberly Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to enrolled students who are majoring in Elementary Education or in the field of Business. Each recipient should be of strong moral character, demonstrate academic promise, as well as demonstrate financial need. The award is renewable upon continuing normal progress toward graduation and with the following stipulations: after the first year, the student must exhibit a 3.0 average and in succeeding years, proceed toward graduation within the normal University requirements. |
| The Beverly J Piper Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate junior or senior student(s) majoring in Accounting. In order to qualify for the scholarship, the recipient(s) must have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting I and II and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. First preference will be given to students from Richland, Ashland and Morrow counties. |
| The Fred M and Mia K Preston Business/Economics Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to majors in Business Administration on the basis of merit, promise, high ethical standards and financial need. |
| The James F and Margaret H Preston Endowed Scholarship | Recipients of the Preston Scholarship award are selected on the basis of merit, promise, high ethical standards and financial need, but financial need will not be the sole determining factor. May be renewable. |
| The Michael and Stephanie Reardon Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student in his/her junior or senior year majoring in Business. The recipient must be a citizen of the U.S. Preference is given to candidates who graduated from high school in Wayne or Ashland counties. Financial need and promise will be given strong consideration. |
| The Richard S and Carol Garver Reese Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a student (or students) of good character and leadership ability who maintains a GPA of at least 3.0, is pursuing a major in Business and shows financial need. |
| The Arthur L and Maxine S Rybolt Business & Econ. Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a selected eligible freshman student(s) with at least a 3.0 GPA and on the basis of promise, merit and financial need. May be renewed annually. |
| The Carl E Swinehart Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Business and Economics, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and who exhibits excellent and potential leadership. |
| The Wachovia Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a student majoring in Business with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate financial need. |
| The Warren Wagner Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a student majoring in Accounting. Financial need and cumulative grade point average are criteria for this scholarship. |
| The Leslie O Woodburn Memorial Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student(s) majoring in Business Administration and/or a student(s) pursuing the Master of Business Administration degree. The recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of merit, promise and financial need, but need will not be the determining factor. |
| The Mitch and Lisa Zunich Endowed Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time upper-class student pursuing a degree in Business. The award is to be made to a student who is actively involved in the campus community, maintaining a 3.25 GPA or higher, without regard to financial need. Preference will be given first to a student from Amherst, Ohio or from Lorain County, if a student from Amherst does not meet the requirements. |
