Mission Statement
The Becker Memorial Reading Enrichment Center is a community outreach of the literacy education program of Ashland University's College of Education. Its mission is to promote literacy by providing quality instruction for area children who are experiencing difficulty learning to read and write, by developing the knowledge and skills of reading professionals who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate courses at Ashland University, and by supporting the efforts of parents, schools, and community agencies.
