Background:

Dr. John Haschak became the Director of Graduate Studies for the Massillon/Stark Center of Ashland University in 1997.  He retired from Green Local Schools in 1997 where he served as the district superintendent.  Prior to that, Dr. Haschak served as superintendent of Rittman Exempted Village Schools, and has previous educational experience as a principal/counselor in Marysville Exempted Village Schools and Parma City Schools.  Dr. Haschak served four years in the United State Army, commanding the Headquarter Troups of the 14th Armored Cavalry.  During his service, he achieved the rank of Captain and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal upon his discharge.

BA - Bowling Green State University, 1964

MA - Miami University, 1970

PhD - Kent State University, 1984

Courses:

In addition to his duties at Center Director, Dr. Haschak assists in the development of the ALAS Seminar Series each year and teaches courses in the superintendents' licensure program.
