Athletic Training Education Program

Ashland Quiz Bowl
As an athletic training student, you will have the opportunity to prevent athletic injuries, manage and care for injuries, and establish rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer. The Athletic Training curriculum includes courses such as Pharmacology, Pathology, Therapeutic Modalities, Injury Recognition and Management, and Rehabilitation of the Upper and Lower Extremities.

You will complement your coursework with a minimum of 800 hours of clinical experience, which is a requirement for licensure in the State of Ohio. Your bachelors degree with a comprehensive major in athletic training from Ashland will prepare you for Graduate degrees, Physical Therapy School, Medical School, or any other Allied Health experience you wish to pursue.
