Opening and Closing Dates, 2007-2008 Academic Year
A student's housing contract is only in effect for the academic year and only when classes are in session. The housing contract does not provide accomodations during the following breaks: Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks. During those breaks, students may keep their belongings in their room.
Students may request to stay on campus during these break periods. If approved, students may be assessed an additional charge. More information about break housing options, including summer housing options, will be made available closer to each break.
The meal plan is NOT in effect during break periods. The Eagle's Nest has limited hours. Students approved to stay on campus during break periods should plan accordingly for their meals.
Students must remove all belongings and completely vacate their room for Spring Closing. Students can move into summer housing at that time.
Fall Opening
- Halls open Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. for new students
- Halls open Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. for returning students
Thanksgiving Break
- Halls close Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
- Halls open Sunday, November 25, 2007 at noon
- The dining hall closes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20 and reopens at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 25 (the Eagle's Nest will have limited hours during the break period)
- REGISTRATION FOR BREAK HOUSING IS NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED
Winter Break
- Halls close Friday, December 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
- Halls open Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
- The dining hall closes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 13 and reopens at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 13 (the Eagle's Nest will have limited hours during the break period)

Spring Break
- Halls close Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
- Halls open Sunday, March 16, 2008 at noon
- REGISTRATION FOR BREAK HOUSING IS NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED
Easter Break
- The halls do NOT close for Easter Break
Spring Closing
- Halls close Friday, May 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for all non-graduating seniors
- Halls close Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. for all graduating seniors
