Regulations
Most regulations are listed in this document. However, others are
published elsewhere in the Student Handbook or other University
publications. Therefore, this listing in not all inclusive.
Regulations/offenses are categorized in four levels (with Level I as the
most serious category to Level IV as the least serious). Recommended
sanctions are categorized with each level also. Exceptions to these
levels by a Judicial Adjudicator or Board must be stated in writing.
Inappropriate Behavior and Failure to Comply standards may be
categorized in any level. These levels are as follows:
Level I Offenses
($100), Probated Suspension, Suspension or Dismissal, Restitution, 15
hours of Judicial Service, Notification to Others, Educational Sanctions.
Physical abuse or self endangerment

Preservation of property (vandalism)

Drug use, possession, distribution, manufacturing and/or sales

Dangerous weapon
-
Off campus behavior which adversely affects the University

Fire safety (creating a false alarm, knowingly, recklessly or negligently
setting a fire)

Unauthorized removal, use or possession (theft)

Sexual imposition
-
Hazing
-
Failure to comply with judicial sanction.

Violations committed while on probation with restriction, probated
suspension

Fourth Level IV offense in 12-month period
-
Third Level III in 12-month period

Second Level II in 12-month period

Participating as an accessory to a Level I offense.
Level II Offenses
($50), Probation with Restriction to Probated Suspension, 10 hours of
Judicial Service, Notification to Others, Educational and Other Sanctions.
Endangerment (property)

Endangerment (safety)

Interfering with the response of officials to emergency calls

Unauthorized entry

Fire safety (tampering with fire equipment, failure to comply with fire
alarm procedures)

Falsifying ID

Deception (includes fraud and/or dishonesty in judicial matters)

Harassment

Alcohol
-
Computer ethics violation

Disruption committed while on probation

Second Level III offense within a 12-month period

Third Level IV offense within a 12-month period

Participating as an accessory to Level II offense
Level III Offenses
($30), Probation, Notification to Others, seven hours of Judicial Service,
Educational and Other Sanctions.
Throwing items from window
Fire safety (burning candles, unauthorized electrical items, etc.)
Unauthorized use of keys
Telecommunication policy violations (tampering, etc.)
Public demonstration policy violation
Removal of screen from window(s)
Violations committed while on warning status
Second Level IV offense within 12-month period
Participating as an accessory to a Level III offense
Level IV Offenses
Disciplinary Warning, three hours of Judicial Service, Educational and
Other Sanctions.
Residence Life policies (room contract violation, visitation, quiet
hours, windows, escort, pet, solicitation, smoking, etc.)
Student Activities policies: (chalk, posting, etc.)
Littering
Other - failure to inform of address or name change
Participating as an accessory to Level IV offenses
