NORTHMOR LOCAL SCHOOLS
Pre K - 12 Enrollment Projections
The Northmor Local Schools have requested the Telego Center for Educational Improvement review and conduct an analysis of the enrollment projection provided the district from the Ohio School Facilities Commission. The Telego Center has contracted with university personnel to conduct the analysis. Since the publication of the original projection on January 29, 2007, certain data factors have changed and the analysis brings into question some of the data contained in the enrollment projection.
The Telego Center conducted the analysis and forwarded a written report to OSFC with their findings and recommendations. The Telego Center officials continue to be available to make a presentation of this report, if necessary.
MANSFIELD MADISON LOCAL SCHOOLS
Physical Education Grant Evaluation
The Telego Center for Educational Improvement continues to work closely with the Madison Local Schools in evaluating the goals and data associated with a federal physical education grant (PEP) that provides equipment and various resources to the district's physical education classes and their instructors. The duration of the grant process and Telego Center work will run through fiscal year 2010.
Telego Center officials are coordinating data and assessing progress toward goal attainment based on statistics as reported by school district personnel. These experts will also work closely with the school district to assess the goals of the project per grant requirements and provide a written summative report at the end of each school year.
MANSFIELD MADISON LOCAL SCHOOLS
Building Principal Mentorship
The Ashland University Telego Center for Educational Improvement will provide building principal mentoring for the Madison Local Schools during the 2008 - 2009 school year.
The Telego Center mentor will meet with each principal at least two times per month to discuss daily activities and duties of the administrator, offer advice when requested pertaining to actions/decisions of the administrator, and provide mentoring support for principals throughout the entire school year.
In addition, the Telego Center will provide books, publications, and other materials that may assist the professional develpment of the principal pertaining specifically to areas they encounter in carrying out their administrative responsibilities.
A written report at the end of the school year, reviewing the mentoring program's progress and outcomes will also be provided to the school district.
OHIO ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS
Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Provider
The Telego Center for Educational Improvement is currently providing validation of continuing education units (CEU's) for the Ohio Association of Public Charter Schools (OAPCS).
The Telego Center conducts an analysis of subject matter and contact hours for the association's meetings and professional development opportunities in determining CEU's to be earned. The Center also issues a certificate of completion for each participant.
The Telego Center is available to be a CEU provider for any interested organization or public education entity.
