Financial Aid Forms For Undergraduate Students

The 2008-09 AU Financial Aid Application is an online form and is submitted electronically. 

The forms listed as (pdf) are in Acrobat .pdf form*. 'Clicking' on the underline with your computer mouse will allow you to view and print those forms to complete and return it to the Financial Aid Office.

The FAFSA link will connect you with the FAFSA web site to complete and submit your FAFSA to the federal processor.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA must be completed and submitted to the federal processor by any students who wish to receive need-based aid and/or federal student loans. The priority date for submission of the FAFSA is March 15 for undergraduate students to receive aid for the following academic year.Use the AU Title IV code -- 003012 -- to have your Student Aid Report sent electronically to Ashland University.

Summer Loan Application (Apply Online) [The 2009 Summer Loan Application will be available in late January 2009]

Stafford Loans are available for students who plan to enroll at least half-time in the Summer Session.  Students who have not completed the current year's FAFSA must complete it to receive a Stafford Loan for the Summer Session. In addition, all students who wish to receive a loan for the Summer Session must complete the AU Summer Loan application.  Students who wish to obtain a private education loan must also complete this application in addition to applying to the lender of their choice. 

Fall/Spring Undergraduate Financial Aid Application (Apply Online)        

In addition to the FAFSA, all undergraduates who wish to receive financial aid should file this application by March 15 for the following academic year. Ohio residents must have this application on file in order to receive the Ohio Choice Grant.


2008-09 Parent Loan Application (pdf)    

Parents of undergraduate students who wish to apply for a Federal Parent Loan must complete this form before a loan can be processed.

2008-09 Special Conditions Form (pdf)

The Special Conditions Form is available to families whose current financial situation differs significantly from the financial data submitted on the most recent FAFSA due to extraordinary circumstances such as unemployment, divorce, high medical expenses, etc. In addition, families who pay more than $1000 in private elementary/secondary tuition for the students siblings may complete this form. Appropriate documentation of the condition must be submitted with the form and the Financial Aid Office must be notified if the family situation improves during the year.

The federal government selects 30% of FAFSA applications for verification each year.Once selected, the student must complete this worksheet and submit signed copies of his/her current year tax forms and parent tax forms, if a dependent student, before any federal or state aid can be processed.
