ASHLAND

TEACH Grant

The TEACH Grant provides grant assistance to students who are completing coursework to begin a career in teaching in a high-need field, and who sign an Agreement to Serve. The award is up to $4,000 per year with a maximum of $16,000 for an undergraduate degree and $8,000 for a graduate degree. IMPORTANT NOTE: If the recipient of a TEACH Grant does not fulfill the requirements of the Agreement to Serve, the amount of the entire TEACH Grant converts into a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, with interest retroactive to the date the grant was disbursed.

To determine eligibility, a student must:

* To qualify based on your ACT/SAT results, you must score in the 75th percentile on any subtest of the ACT or SAT. If you qualify for the TEACH Grant based on your ACT/SAT scores, you are eligible to receive TEACH funds over the course of your study, providing you meet other program requirements. If you do not qualify based on your ACT/SAT results, you may qualify based on your high school or AU GPA of 3.25 or higher. You must maintain a cumulative AU GPA of 3.25 or higher each semester to receive the grant.
